The risk of developing diabetic neuropathy increases with age and the duration of diabetes.

Patients with diabetic neuropathy may experience symptoms such as pins and needles sensation, burning pain, aching discomfort, tingling, numbness, or reduced sensation in the affected areas. These symptoms often become worse at night, disturb sleep, and may interfere with daily activities and mobility.
