Cervical Epidural MIPSI (Non – Surgical Minimally Invasive Procedure for Neck Pain)
Cervical Spondylosis or neck pain that radiates to your arm can be caused by impinged hand nerves in your neck.

Cervical epidural MIPSI is a procedure where in anti – inflammatory medication is injected in a space surrounding the impinged nerve in your spinal canal. This reduces the swelling around your nerve & hence alleviating the pain. The space in your spinal canal where medicine is injected is called as epidural space.

Benefits of the procedure:
• Rapid Pain Relief: Reduces inflammation directly at the source of the pain.
• Minimally Invasive: An effective alternative for patients who wish to avoid or delay neck surgery.
• Diagnostic Value: Helps confirm that a specific nerve root is indeed the source of the pain.
• Improved Mobility: Allows patients to participate more effectively in physical therapy and daily activities.
How is the procedure done?

Procedure is done in a well-equipped operation theatre. The needle insertion is done under image guidance (X Ray/ Fluoroscopy). This enhances effectiveness & safety of procedure. Generally done under local anaesthesia, the procedure can be done on day care basis. Patient experiences pain relief within 2 to 3 days of the procedure. Complete relief may take up to 8 to 10 days.
